5. What can we tell others, according to Psalm 145:11?
6. What else brings praise and glory to God, according to Paul in Philippians 1:11?
Sometimes I think Iâd like to pack my bags, kiss my responsibilities goodbye, and move into a monastery. It would be a quiet retreatâa time of refreshment, refocusing, and revitalization. I could live a simple existence in my own little cloister room. Distractions done away with, I could go about the business of things pertaining to God. I could begin a prayer journal. I could study the Bible for hours, uninterrupted. It would be so peaceful. It would be so quiet. I like quiet.
Unfortunately, God hasnât called any of us to be hermits. We were made to need one another. A life characterized by the fruit of the spirit is a life lived in the midst of fellow believers. We need these gifts of the Spirit just to get along! Besides, it is our great love and care for one another that sets us apart from the rest of the world. âAll people will know that you are my followers if you love each otherâ (John 13:35 NCV).
7. There are more ways God is glorified through our lives. How does Paul say God was glorified through Abrahamâs life, according to Romans 4:20?
8. According to 2 Corinthians 4:15, what does Paul say Godâs grace will cause to abound in the face of persecution and death? What will be the result of that abundance?
9. What does Paul ask us to pray for in 2 Thessalonians 3:1? What does he want to see glorified?
10. Peter calls Christians to glorify God with their lives. What does he urge in 1 Peter 4:11?
In a culture where we all but worship activity and accomplishment, we can so easily miss time alone with God.
